The LaGrange College alumnus has composed music for about 30 television shows, including the themes to E!'s "Married to Jonas" and MTV's "Totally Clueless."

"I had always thought I would go to law school because I come from a family of lawyers and court reporters," says the vivacious blonde from Dalton. "So I went to the Career Center to see if they could help me get an internship with a local law firm."

"It taught me the value of learning, and it gave me the foundation to do everything that I'm doing today," he told a group of students while visiting campus during Homecoming, where he was honored with the Walter Malcolm Shackelford Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Originally from Mexico, she teaches Spanish at LaGrange Academy, a private K-12 school.

"Giving back is the natural thing to do," she says. "You receive, so of course, you give back.

From the nursing program at LaGrange College to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Sarah Podbielski achieved her dream of becoming a pediatric nurse.

"I came to work with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta as an RN in July 2008," she said,"and I work in the pediatric intensive care unit of the hospital.

Ali Grieb is well on her way to proving it true.

In May 2009, four days after graduating from LaGrange with a theatre arts degree, she moved to New York to pursue a career on the stage. Those were scary days, Ali says.

In 2006, Margaret Bagwell graduated from LaGrange. Inspired by the College's Servant-Leadership program, she devoted the next two years of her life to ministry as a US2 missionary for the United Methodist Church.

He walked its halls in the White House while serving on the official photography staff during the last year of President George W. Bush's administration. He was present at such historic events as Pope Benedict XVI's 2008 visit and the G20 economic summit.
