CRAZY FOR YOU

Book by Ken Ludwig
Lyrics by Ira Gershwin
Music by George Gershwin

October 23 – October 28

This Tony Award winning Broadway smash calls itself, “the new Gershwin musical comedy that makes everything old seem new again.” CRAZY FOR YOU tells the story of Bobby Child, a wealthy city boy who dreams of being a Broadway star, but is pressured by his domineering mother to be a banker. When she sends him to Deadrock, Nevada to foreclose on a broken down theatre he falls madly in love with Polly Baker, the spunky theater owner’s daughter. Add Follies girls, singin’ cowboys and a hilarious case of mistaken identity and you’ve got a wonderful evening filled with Gershwin favorites, “I Got Rhythm,” “They Can’t Take That Away From Me,” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.”

Blithe Spirit

By Noel Coward
In the Lab

December 7 – 11

In this clever Noel Coward comedy, Charles Condomine, a successful novelist wishing to learn more about the occult for his new novel, invites the eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, to conduct a séance in his home. The plan backfires when Arcati conjures the ghost of his eccentric first wife, Elvira, whose desperate attempts to disrupt his current marriage to Ruth wreak havoc because only Charles can see her.

AUGUST:  OSAGE COUNTY

By Tracy Letts

March 20 - 24

Winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best New Play, August: Osage County is a fiercely funny and bitingly sad tragic comedy about three sisters who are called home to Osage County, Oklahoma, after their father is reported missing. Critics claim that AUGUST is “bursting with intelligence, vicious compassionate, and unstoppable” and “the most exciting American play Broadway has seen in years.”

The cast will feature Professor Kim Barber Knoll as Violet Weston, the matriarch of the family, and Tracy Riggs as her sister, Mattie Fae.
