A master's degree in Philanthropy and Development will help you move ahead as a leader in fundraising and philanthropy. LaGrange College's 25-month program combines two-week immersion experiences on campus in the summer with the flexibility of online coursework to be completed in the fall and spring semesters.

Expenses for the master's in Philanthropy and Development degree include $675 per credit hour, plus room and board for the two-week residency periods in the summer. Total cost is estimated to be $27,300 (which includes tuition, room/board and fees). Financial aid is available.


The degree consists of 36 semester hours:

  • 24 hours earned on campus during three (two-week) summer immersion residency sessions
  • 12 hours earned online between summer immersion experiences

The program prepares leaders and administrators in the fields of major gifts,campaigns, planned giving, annual fund and utilization of new and social mediain fundraising. Additional coursework in contemporary and historical philanthropicissues, ethics, research and leadership will equip you for advancement within theworld of nonprofit fundraising.

Philanthropy and Development students have the opportunity to spend two weeksin each of the three summers studying with peers in a living/learning communityon the beautiful LaGrange campus near historic downtown LaGrange, Georgia. Theywill enjoy access to the state-of-the-art Lewis Library and other instructionalresources in the center of a vibrant campus rich in history.
