Art & Design Scholarships

Scholarships, work-study positions and awards
Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshman and transfer students on the basis of a portfolio review . Students should first make application to the College and upon acceptance may apply for an Art Department scholarship. These are awarded by portfolio review usually in the first week of March. Information concerning scholarships may be obtained from the Office of Admission or by contacting Professor Marcia Brown at 706-880-8325.

There are a number of work-study positions in the Art Department. These vary from studio assistants to gallery receptionists and exhibition management. These positions are applied for through the Financial Aid Office.

Awards are given annually to art majors in the form of purchase prizes. These usually go to graduating seniors based on work presented in their exit exhibitions.
